Trudy Kessler- She is actually known as Judge Trudy Kessler. She is a former public defender who now has eyes on the position of city’s next district attorney. She can be called a hard-liner judge as she believes that law should be taken literally. She doesn’t like to mend it for the sake of anyone’s personal sense of justice. She has a ruthless control over courtroom, which sometimes proves to be a tough deal for defendants. However tough she is in her professional life, but her personal life carries a grey shade. She has an illicit relationship with her handsome law clerk, Charlie Sagansky.

Life and Career- She is an American actress known for playing Lois in TV series, “Malcolm in the Middle”. Currently, she is residing in San Marino, California. She is actually a Polish American. She has majored in theatre from University of Wisconsin-Madison. Later she graduated from Yale School of Drama. She was also part of their theatre company. She has several Broadway hits to her credit, including “Lost in Yonkers” and “Raised In Captivity”. She also won an LA Drama Critics’ Award for her work. Her first TV role was in 1982, “For Lovers Only”. Her first major role can be said as Linda Bauer in “Equal Justice” in 1990. She has appeared in at least 40 TV roles and most of them were the popular ones. She has been nominated seven times for an Emmy for her work in “Malcolm in the Middle”. She has also bagged three Golden Globe nominations, two Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations for the same. For this role she has also won a Television Critics Award in 2000 and 2001 along with an American Comedy Award and a Family Television Award in 2001.
When “Malcolm in the Middle” got cancelled, Jane starred in the short lived series “Help Me Help You”. Other than acting she has also done voice over for several episodes of “Simpsons”.
Jane is married to West Wing actor and fellow Wisconsin native Bradley Whitford since August 15, 1992. They are blessed with three children. At present, she is working in TNT series “Raising the Bar”.
